GA Committees

DISEC

The First Committee of the General Assembly, the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), is dedicated to maintain global security by addressing the threats posed by weapon proliferation. As the use of force endangers millions and compromised security remains a major obstacle to peace, DISEC plays a critical role in ensuring stability.

At BKVMUN'25, delegates in DISEC will tackle two pressing issues: Illicit Trafficking of Emerging Dual-Use Technologies and Security Challenges

Posed by Autonomous Weapons. Through collaborative work and fruitful debates, delegates will develop innovative solutions to these global security challenges.

SOCHUM

This year in SOCHUM, we will be tackling challenging global issues, especially in the Middle Eastern and North African regions. The agenda items are as follows:

Agenda Item 1: Adressing the consequences of the Israeli military operations in Palestine on civilians

​

Agenda Item 2: Enhancing humanitarian efforts to adress conflict-induced displacement in the Sahel region of North Africa.

OIC

The OlC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) was established in 1969 to strengthen political, economic,cultural, scientific, and social solidarity and cooperation among member states, as well as to protect the rights and interests of the Islamic world.

At BKVMUN'25, delegates of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will discuss one of the most important problems of our age, Sectarianism in the Muslim World.While this issue calls regional peace into question, it increases the sense of divisiveness and detracts from progress. Delegates will try to develop balanced solutions that promote reconciliation and move toward unity among nations through negotiationand diplomacy.

UNSC

UNSC, the United Nations Security Council is one of the 6 principle organs of the United Nations and is charged with ensuring international peace and security, approving new members to the United nations and ratifying changes made to the UN Charter. Deemed by many to be the most important factor of the United nations, UNSC has a vital and pivotal role in securing the peace and prosperity of the globe.

At the BKVMUN'25 Historical UNSC committee, delegates will travel back to 1955, a time when the Vietnam war first broke out and shifted the worlds agenda. They will prepare to take action in accordance with their countries perspective and policy and seek to find stable and comprehensive solutions that will ensure peace around the region. The delegates will need to take into account all perspectives of the conflict and manufacture a resolution paper that will be satisfactory for all sides of the Vietnam war.

NATO

NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, is one of the most important international organizations in the world today. This organization, which is a political and military

alliance, brings together 32 countries from Europe and North

America. These countries come together to consult and

cooperate on security and defense issues.In this context,NATO creates a unique bond between these two continents on political and security-related issues.

At BKVMUN'25 NATO committee, delegates will take action

according to the policy and perspective of the country

assigned to them regarding the human rights violations in

East Turkistan. The delegates will need to solve critical

problems such as the ideological debates and humanitarian

crisis, as soon as possible, and ensure security as they

promised.

H-F1C

Historical F1C: Humble Beginnings

Currently Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsport where the audience can watch the greatest drivers drive the fastest cars in the most perfectlly engineered race tracks but it was once just talented drivers racing over-average cars in the dirt.

In Historical F1C the delegates will be going back to the roots of Formula 1 and deal with the hardships FlA dealt with in order the create the behemoth of a super sport known around the world.

After the end of the World War II Europe was in one of the worst situations they have ever been, but this did not stop Formula 1 from giving the green flag for the first F1 Grand Prix Turin 1946.

And with institutiation of the World Championship in 1950

Formula 1 was officialy formed.

In this Futuristic Joint Crisis Committee, delegates will discuss how the newly formed islands will be shared between Turkey and Greece. These developments may even lead to a new conflict: Underground Wars.
