In this committee, you will be reliving the Ogaden War, a conflict fought between Ethiopia and Somalia over the disputed Ogaden region, which began on the 13th of July, 1977. Like most wars in the post-colonial world, the Ogaden War has its roots in ethnic tensions left over from the nations’ previous imperial colonizers. Though forgotten by many, the Ogaden War was the signifier of a big change in the progression of the Cold War; with Cuba’s Che Guevara proving his military capabilities once again and Cuba solidifying itself as an ally for all poverty-stricken nations, the Sino-Soviet split revealing one of its first repercussions, and other African nations being forced to ally with either the West or the East.

Formula 1 is one of the most popular sports of our generation. The speed and the thrill are what make Formula 1, Formula 1. Unfortunately, there are too many obstacles upon this sport that make it one of the biggest reasons why Formula 1 is called the deathliest sport there is. And as a plus, there are way too many malfunctions in the process of making the cars for every single season and that causes crashes in nearly every test drive and Grand Prixes, which sometimes may result in death or near death experiences for some Formula 1 drivers such as Romain David Jeremie Grosjean. These poor manufacturing situations also result in most teams not being able to race with their full potential. 

The sole purpose of F1C is to reduce these crashes, which may have drastic results, as minimum as possible and increasing the winning rates. In these 4 days of BKVMUN’24 as F1C we will be discussing 2 topics; “How to prevent deaths caused by crashes and what new rules should be put in action upon that cause?” And “In what ways should the cars be manufactured in order to increase winning rates in Grand Prixes?”

Last years, the safety of waterway in danger. The DISEC Committee requires a serious commitment to securing future trade routes and managing geopolitical risks. Moreover, there are few more problems like climate change, regional political instability, impact of technological innovations on the transportation industry…  This committee has met to explore ways to work together to tackle these challenging issues and secure the future of the Suez Canal. This committee aims to create a platform that will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the future of the Suez Canal, identify current challenges and propose solutions. This effort is critical to ensure that the Suez Canal remains a strategic route for global trade, with the international community cooperating in the common interests of the international community.

main committees of the UN General Assembly, established when the UN was founded in
1945. It serves as the primary forum for the discussion of legal questions within the General
Assembly. The Committee’s main functions include the promotion of international law, the
codification and progressive development of international legal norms, and the examination
of legal aspects of international relations.
